The last six months have been quite a trying and confusing time for People of the Republic of Texas. There have been many sources of conflicting information regarding the Provisional Government, who is the real President and so on.

Recently there was a meeting in Kilgore calling for the People of the Republic to come together. With this in mind and with this as the goal, it seems imperative that the People of the Republic know all the facts surrounding the "split" and the "factions" that currently exist in the Republic of Texas. To this end there has been scheduled a PUBLIC HEARING on the facts and evidence regarding actions of the Provisional Government and actions of the People in October and November 1996.

If you want to know all the facts of everything that happened and/or can contribute information, facts and testimony to these issues, it is critical that you attend this hearing. To those calling for unity, and to those who respect the truth and want to see it come out for all to know, this will be the most important meeting possible for the future of the Republic of Texas.

Leaders and supporters of all "groups" or "factions" are sincerely urged to attend this meeting and be heard. If you are not there, you cannot be heard. If you want to present information for the public and cannot attend, send someone to speak for you. If you think you disagree, that is all the more reason for you to attend and be heard. All "factions" honored the Kilgore Citizens meeting and were represented. We pray that the same will be true for this meeting and all concerned will be in attendance. This meeting is designed to amicably settle once and for all, the issues causing dissension and misunderstanding, so that we, the Republic of Texas, can move forward together with singleness of purpose, freedom and sovereignty.
