A New Future For Texas

My Fellow Texians and Supporters Worldwide:
As many of you may now be aware, a Delegates' Convention was held in June of this year. Participating in this convention were citizens* who had supported different factions since 1997. It was truly a "Unity Convention".
In this convention, the people used their power of direct participation
to elect a General Council that is tasked with, nothing less than, making
Texas free once more.
In each meeting since June, the new General Council has worked to establish a foundation to begin the process of building a new nation. We have each worked on becoming familiar with our new jobs and we are all learning to work as a team.
In the past few months, we have put in place the framework that will see
the People's vision of an independent nation of Texas become reality, but
we have also begun to establish the mechanisms that will cement it into place.
At the last meeting, I laid out the overall strategy for our victory. We must begin to view the struggle in two phases. The first phase is the establishment of our own institutions and the second phase is the reclamation of our soil.
To accomplish this we must all strive to a new standard of volunteerism. For those of you who feel emboldened by the new unity, I urge you to stand
up with us and work to make the vision a reality. Go to http://www.republic-of-texas.net/volunteer.shtml and volunteer. Call my office at (903) 759-9790 and say that you wish to take a stand. Find your place in the new Republic, because your future freedom depends on your present sacrifice.
