GENERAL COUNCIL - BUSINESS MEETING
Palestine, Republic of Texas
Friday, September 24, 1999
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Vice President John Hunter. The invocation was given by D.A. West. First-time visitors were introduced. John Hunter then read a thank you card from Darrell and Evelyn Franks.
Common Law Court in Tarrant County will meet on October 2. Gulf Coast Common Law Court will meet when called. Council openings were announced and resumes solicited. Jesse Enloe announced a Redemption workshop for October 2 at the Park Inn in Arlington. John Roberts announced that District 17 meetings were being reinstituted in the Valley because of the interest in the Redemption Process. John Hunter thanked D. A. West for saving the Council Secretary from disaster by providing audio tapes to transcribe from after her laptop computer failed.
The secretary called the roll and a quorum was established. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and one correction made. D. A. West [moved] to accept the minutes as corrected, Jesse Enloe seconded, and the Council unanimously accepted the minutes.
One ounce of gold was added to the Sanhedrin fund.
Jesse Enloe read the resignation of Darrell Franks from the Council due to his ill health. John Hunter asked for a motion to accept the resignation. Coolidge Gerdes [moved] to accept Darrell Franks' resignation, Ed Brannum seconded the motion, and the Council voted unanimously to accept the resignation. John Hunter then officially announced that the office of Treasurer was open to candidates.
Jesse Enloe rose to address the citizens regarding the efforts Darrell had made to secure funding for the Republic. He stated that though Darrell had worked relatively alone to secure funding, the entire Council would now be working toward that end, and the work will continue without interruption. The subject of funding the Sanhedrin fee arose, and that fund is advancing slowly.
There being no further business, D. A. West [moved] to adjourn the business meeting, his motion was second by Jesse Enloe, and the business meeting was adjourned.
At this time, D. A. West's hat was passed to help cover room expenses.
John Roberts rose to address the citizens regarding the work of the Secretary of Commerce and Trade, and his efforts in assisting the securing of funding. He spoke of his intentions to regain the natural wealth of Texas, which has been unlawfully appropriated by the U.S. government. He asked all citizens to work together to make the Republic a reality once again.
Ed Brannum read a response from Ron Paul on the Second Amendment, stating that he wished to repeal the unconstitutional laws which have accumulated for over 62 years. Ed then explained the Redemption Process and how, in 1933, the United States government took control of and title to all property in the U. S., including the citizens, who were converted to property. The Redemption Process enables each individual citizen to reclaim his individual sovereignty. He then explained the actual status of "pure trusts", that they are created in public law and can be broken until and unless you file your UCC1 on it. There was a short discussion on trusts and how they work. Then the legal fiction was defined, and the use of legal fictions was explained in relation to public law versus private law.
There was a short question-answer period, and then Ed Brannum gave some examples of various experiences in using the process.
Jesse Enloe rose to speak. Winning the hearts and minds of Texans to the cause of the Republic is necessary to our success, and this can only be done by disseminating information, and educating people. The subject matter is far from boring. Once people are informed and begin to understand the true nature of the government that rules us, it is a win for the Republic.
Questions were raised regarding accepting the Social Security card for value. John Hunter read a form letter from the Social Security Administration which stated only that the Social Security tax was mandatory and under the aegis of the IRS.
There were numerous new visitors to the Council meeting who were very
curious about the Redemption Process and their ability to free themselves
from the commercial law fraud in which all citizens are trapped. Land patents
and property taxes were also discussed.
GENERAL COUNCIL - INFORMATION MEETING
Palestine, Republic of Texas
Saturday, September 25, 1999
The meeting was called to order by Vice President John Hunter at 10 a.m. Jesse Enloe gave the invocation. John Hunter then read a note from Darrell and Evelyn Franks thanking us for our gift and prayers. Ed Brannum introduced Earl Foester, who was one of the original Judicial Committee members when the Republic of Texas was formed in 1995. John Roberts announced the resumption of the Harlingen/McAllen meetings, which were spurred by the Redemption Process teaching.
Jesse Enloe announced the next Redemption workshop in Arlington on next Saturday. He then read the resignation letter from Darrell Franks from the Council and the position of Treasurer. He then stated that although we have lost an important member of the Council, his work will be taken up by the entire Council. John Hunter then announced the Council openings and asked all who have the desire to serve to submit their resumes to him as soon as possible. He then introduced all of the Council members.
At this point, D. A. West's hat was passed for contributions for room costs. Then, other officers of the Republic were introduced to the citizens.
Jesse Enloe was then introduced to talk on Texas history. He then explained why the so-called "annexation" of Texas was not legitimate. The Constitution did not authorize the Congress to bring in other nations, just territories. A treaty of annexation was proposed in 1844, which was defeated in the Senate. Congress introduced a joint resolution annexing Texas. However, a resolution is not binding, it is merely a statement of intention. It has no power of law. It has the EFFECT of law because the people permitted it by their inaction. In 1861, Texans voted to withdraw from the United States. The US said no, they could not do that because they had joined a "perpetual" union.
He went on to discuss the conversion of the United States from a free republic into a corporation being operated for profit, and its folding into a world system operated by a ruling elite dedicated to the garnering of a majority of the wealth of the world and the servitude of a majority of the world's people.
There were numerous new visitors and citizens present who had not attended a meeting in a long time. Therefore, there was a lengthy question and answer session on the principles behind the Republic, the basic philosophy upon which we base our actions, and learning how to conquer the fear which the government instills in us.
Ed Brannum stated that Dan Morales and his successor, John Cornyn, had not filed their official bonds of office. There has not been an agency bond since 1985. This would be interesting to the tobacco companies, which have been plagued by the Texas Attorney General's office and their rulings.
Lunch Break
The meeting was reconvened at 1:10 p.m. John Hunter introduced Jesse Enloe to talk about the "straw man", the Redemption Process, and why we are going through this process.
Jesse Enloe addressed Commercial Redemption, removing oneself from the commercial arena. In 1933, when Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected, he confiscated the gold of the people, and pledged the people and all of their wealth to collateralize the bankruptcy of the United States. This is when the governors of each state pledged the birth certificates of all of their citizens to the government. Each state sent the original birth certificates of all citizens to the Department of Commerce, where they were converted to legal fictions (the "straw man"). The pledge of the "energy" of the people was a promise based on the productivity of the people. Everyone's name was converted to all capital letters (the legal fiction), and every time you sign something under that capitalized name you are guaranteeing or standing as a surety for that legal fiction. A UCC1 Claim is a form used to file a Security Interest Claim or lien, a financial statement which perfects a security interest in that legal fiction. Therefore, you file a claim against the straw man stating that you (you) have a primary security interest against the commercial entity (YOU).
This process is very long and detailed, and should not be attempted without first attending a seminar and understanding how to effect the filings. There was a very long question-answer period due to the high number of new visitors. As a result of this weekend's turnout, a workshop will probably be planned for Palestine in the very near future.
John Roberts briefly addressed land patents. He then reported some of the events from his last trip to London with Darrell Franks on Republic business. Daniel Lopez talked about a communication from Rio Grande do Sul, which is a sister republic in Brazil. They appear to be as disenchanted with the world system as Texians are.
The meeting was closed at 3:30 p.m.
