Office of the President

Letter to the Editor
July 15, 1998

Articles have appeared recently in several newspapers regarding three men having been arrested after being accused of "threatening President Clinton and other Government officials" via e-mail communications. The articles almost always refer to the three men as "possibly having ties to the Republic of Texas, a militant separatist group."

As Chief Spokesman for the Republic of Texas General Council I would like to set the record straight on a couple of issues regarding these news articles.

First and foremost the People of the Republic of Texas are working for the lawful reclamation of Texas as a Sovereign Nation. The People adhere to the principles of Freedom, Self-Responsibility and the Common Law. The Common Law says "Don't harm anyone."

While the media has focused on the sensational actions of a FORMER leader of the Republic of Texas, Richard McLaren, it must be understood that McLaren was removed, by the People, from his position of leadership six months prior to the infamous "standoff in West Texas." It also must be completely obvious to any thinking person that the rest of the People of the Republic of Texas did not condone the kidnapping of neighbors by his small group. They did not go to his aid.

Once again the media is focused on "sensational" actions by three men who "may have ties to the Republic of Texas." Why isn't it reported that they may have ties to the First Baptist Church or to the Rotary Club or some other organization? The reason is because the current government wants to vilify the People of the Republic of Texas and get the public to think they are"terrorists."

This particular incident may be understood by the reader's understanding of FBI Instigators (they call them informants). Where do these people come from? They are people who have been the victims of other FBI Instigators who merely suggest an illegal activity to the "target victim" and then turn in a report that the "target victim" is contemplating a crime. The FBI then comes down on them and either prosecutes them, if they can get enough publicity, or turns them into Instigators (informants).

The three men involved in this all say that the informant is the one who instigated this whole incident. I believe that to be the case, as it has been reported openly that the "dangerous chemicals" confiscated from their property were Marmalade and Coconut Oil. I have been told by sources who know these men that none of them even have a computer to send e-mails with. Yet it was reported that the FBI Instigator said that one of them had discovered a way to send untraceable e-mail. Most people I know that do have computers have trouble understanding them. It is hardly conceivable that one who doesn't have one could come up with "how to send an untraceable e-mail."

Do you think that maybe the Instigator did the whole thing in order to come up with a "catch" and give the government something to hand to the media to vilify these three men and the Republic of Texas? I personally believe that this is entirely possible and even probable.

In summary, let me state for the world to hear, the People of the Republic of Texas are NOT racist, separatist, lawbreakers, violent or any other of the things implied or directly stated in most media reports. The People of the Republic are NOT "anti-government." They are against unlawful actions by government officials. That is why McLaren was removed from office. He violated the common law against his own people. The People do not condone violations of the Common Law (harming another person) by ANYONE.

This is where the conflict arises between the government and the People of the Republic of Texas. We want to inform the people of Texas how they have been deceived and have lost their freedoms and liberties due to unlawful actions of the very people they elected to serve them.

One of the most important rights the people have lost is the right to own property (land and homes). When is the last time you heard of anyone loosing a watch or a television set for failure to pay tax on them? If you truly owned your home, absolute ownership (Title in Allodium), could you lose it for failure to pay a tax years after you bought it? How many have studied the "Traffic Laws" and discovered that they only apply to commercial activity, and not to the private travel of private individuals? How many know that the "Judicial System" is a system of Administrative Courts operating under Administrative Law and the implications of this insidious fact?

We want everyone to know the truth about these and other issues so the People can come together and restore a proper, lawful government that does the ONE THING that a government in a free society is supposed to do: PROTECT THE INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE RIGHTS AND LIBERTIES OF ITS PEOPLE.

    Sincerely,

   Provisional Government, Republic of Texas
