The Plain Facts About Common Law
by Alva Rice, McLeod
Secretary of Judicial Affairs

Common Law is the beginning of all law, and its perfection is the absense of all [man-made]* law. In simple terms, common law is the will of the people. In each separate case it will be manifested as the people rule from their conscience and their sense of fair play. Common Law is common to all people. It is common sense, the Law of the Creator God of the Universe:

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
[Or conversely: "Don't do to someone else what you wouldn't want anyone to do to you."]*

Common Law supercedes all Law. It is superior in all cases to Statutory Law, Codified Law, and Rules and Regulations.

Common Law establishes constitutions, since all power is inherent in the people. Through the Constitution, Common Law establishes all restrictions on the government. Constitutions never give the government the power to legislate over the people. The government is only allowed to legislate on the functions of the various departments, to protect the people's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Constitutions can never establish Common Law, for then the People would not have all the power. The Constitution then would have all the power, and the people would not be able to amend, or change it, nor address any greivances as they occur.

The Creator made man, man then created government, and government created corporations. The Creator rules over man, man rules over government and government rules over corporations. Governments are mere pieces of paper, to be altered and changed at the whim of man. Corporations are mere pieces of paper, which government can change and alter at their whim. The Creator is superior to all men, governments and corporations. Man is superior to all governments and corporations.

Simply said, Common Law is the will of the People,
a Law Common to all people.
