Despite the still poor media coverage, and the unlawful "legal" persecution from Austin, the Republic of Texas is alive and well! Supporters and reporters, as well as the general public, got an earfull of glowing reports from (P.G.) President David Johnson last Friday night in Temple. At that evening's General Council Meeting, as well as at the Saturday meeting, Mr. Johnson related his positive experience in South Texas during the recent days. Sometime during the next few days, we expect to have a special full report of his appearance in Corpus Christi and other places.
On Saturday, after a brief introduction of the General Council and reports from three different officers, the people of the Republic of Texas held a public hearing to present all the information, documents and other evidence concerning the events leading up to and including the Convention of Delegates held in College Station on November 30, 1996. This was especially for the benefit of all the citizens who were not aware of events of the previous weeks, and were confused by the actions of the delegates. Many questions were asked and answered during that hearing, and the whole thing was video-recorded for anyone interested in knowing the truth. Copies of this video will be available by the next General Council Meeting.
Details concerning the next G.C. Meeting will be posted as soon as they
become available.
