Sabbath, August 30, 1997 (RTD: 162.7.2)

A fruitful session of the Peoples Court of Common Law, Milam District, took place in Arlington today. Several articles of the court's Operational Guidelines were discussed and revised by the body politic of the district. Among them, the definition and make-up of juries to be seated in future. Discussion revolved around trying to avoid pitfalls in procedure, in light of recent events. Further discussion of these Guidelines will continue during the next regularly-scheduled court session (Oct.4). A copy of the final approved set of Operational Guidelines will be posted as soon at it becomes available.

CONGRATULATIONS, Texians!! Once again we strike a blow for truth and freedom and justice. Another Convention of Delegates was held Saturday in Temple, where truth won out over politics. The General Council was confirmed by the people of the Republic, with the only exception being the President, who was removed from office by the delegates. The principal reasons for this action are enumerated in the General Council Statement.

Several other things were voted on, the minutes of which will (eventually) be posted for your benefit, on this website. Stay tuned!

The next meeting of the General Council will be held in Athens. Please mark your calendar and plan to be there. Also, the delegates in Convention have scheduled another Convention to be held in Temple on the Saturday morning after the regularly scheduled Council Meeting. Several more articles in the Plans and Powers will be re-examined and probably revised at that time. These meetings are always open to the public, although only declared citizens of the Republic are allowed to vote as delegates.

Friday morning, August 22, 1997 (RTD: 162.6.24)
