Does the Federal Government abide by the Constitution?
Is Texas really a State of the Union?
Exactly What is a Constitution?
This definition seems to be quite clear and straightforward and seems to conform to what most of the people believe the constitution is. When is the last time you have read the Constitution for the United States of America? If the Constitution is the law the people have written for the government to go by, don't you think we should know what it says?
The big question for today is: "Is the government of the United States operating within its Constitutional limits?" The answer can clearly be seen by anyone who has accomplished even a quick reading of the Constitution. The answer is NO!!
There are many issues that could be covered regarding things the government is doing that are outside the lawfully delegated powers and limitations imposed by the people who authored the constitution, but with limited space we will mention only a few. The purpose is to get the reader to think for himself and look at our world, as it exists today.
The first thing a person would be wise to know is that the government was given the authority to set the punishment for four (4) crimes. These are: 1) Piracy on the High Seas, 2) Violations of International Law, 3) Treason, and 4) Counterfeiting the Coin or Securities of the United States. These are the ONLY crimes the federal government has ever been given the authority to punish.
Look at the federal prisons today and see how many people you can find, out of the incarcerated thousands, that have violated one of the areas prescribed for in the constitution for federal punishment. There may be a few that are being punished for Treason, and they could probably be counted on one hand. All the rest are incarcerated without lawful authority !!
Article one, section 8 of the U.S. Constitution provides specific instructions for 18 things for the government to do for the people. The 18th one is the most abused and the most important for the people of America to understand. It says, "To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing [the 17 preceding] Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department of Office thereof."
One can also ask, "Is there a lawful document in existence that bears the signatures of both the Representatives of Texas and the Representatives of the United States making Texas a State of the United States?" The answer is simply, no. There is no such document in existence. If this is true, then why are we taught that Texas is a state? The word that comes to mind is deception. After the U.S. Senate rejected the Treaty to make Texas a state in June of 1844 by a vote of 35 to 16, the House passed a resolution in 1845 and declared "Texas is now a State!"
Folks, a resolution is not a Treaty. It is simply a statement of intent by the body that adopts it. In other words the Congress said, "We would like to make Texas a State." But they never did. At least not by the lawful process outlined in their Constitution. A little study and thinking will bring the reader to the inescapable conclusion that Texas remains an Independent, Sovereign Nation as founded on March 17, 1836.
