DAY OF MOURNING IN THE TEXAS REPUBLICflag
We deeply regret to inform you that our former President (served 08-23-97 to 06-15-02) Jesse Doyle Enloe (55) passed away today at about 12 noon, at his home in Fort Worth, after leaving the hospital a couple of days ago.  He had been undergoing treatment at Huguley Hospital, due to coronary occlusion.  He is survived by his dear wife, Doris, his children and grandchildren.  A God-fearing man, Jesse has been actively involved in the pursuit of freedom and justice for a number of years, for all Texans, as well as for his family and himself.  In this pursuit, he has been a true friend to many, always ready to lend a helping hand in their struggle against the injustices of the corrupt de facto regime.  He never refused to help anyone due to their inability to contribute financially, even when he found himself in serious difficulties.  Jesse trusted God to take care of him, and always assured you of that fact. Truly he leaves a great gap in our fabric, one that several men would be hard-pressed to fill.

Jesse Enloe
¡Vaya con Dios, amigo!

[Details of the Funeral Arrangements will be posted as soon as they are known.]

Saturday, June 29, 2002
Former President Jesse Enloe has suffered a heart attack and is undergoing ICU treatment at Huguley Hospital South of Fort Worth.  At last report (today - 01:15 p.m.), he was in stable and slightly improving condition.  Your thoughts and prayers are most appreciated.  We hope and trust for a full and prompt recovery.  He can only be visited by two people at a time and only every two hours, for a maximum of 15 minutes per visit, beginning at 08:00 a.m. and ending at 08:15 p.m.  You may call his wife Doris, at (817) 294-2405, to inquire as to his progress.

FLASH!!! GREAT NEWS!!!
The Republic of Texas is A NATION UNITED once again.  All the "king's" horses and all the "king's" men couldn't keep us from getting back together again!  As of Saturday, June 15, 2002, the People of Texas, by and through their delegates in convention, said in effect: "No more divisions!, United we stand!"  Their first order of business was to fill all of the vacant seats on the General Council, beginning with that of President.  Of the two nominees for this post, Daniel Miller was chosen by majority of delegates.  Mr. Miller has been active in the leadership of one of the FORMERLY separate groups that have operated since November of 1996.  After a series of talks held recently by a small number of people from each of the former divisions, we came to the conclusion that our continued progress required us to bury past disagreements and reconcile or reconsolidate.  This is now an accomplished fact.   The Republic of Texas is alive and well!!!

All of the rest of the Offices on the Council were filled by active and dedicated people, who are willing and able to serve in their various capacities.   CLICK HERE to see the new list of Officers of the (reunited) Provisional Government.  You will soon see a more detailed report on the Convention and it's accomplishments on this web site.  Keep watching.

Soon you can also see the announcement of the NEXT national meeting (July 12), this time in San Antonio.  Look for a "meeting of the web sites" very soon, too.  The Republic marches on!!

Saturday, June 8, 2002
Only one week left before our National Meeting in Temple .  Your participation is vital.  Please make plans to join us there.  Come and take part in the future of Texas.  No-one else can do it for you.  Your delegates need your support and your input too. Remember, 9:00 a.m., Saturday June 15 in Temple.  Be there!

Wednesday, May 22, 2002
A number of Texans from District 13 are calling for a "Convention of Delegates." Some of them are planning to meet for this purpose at 09:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the TraveLodge in Temple - one hour before the scheduled monthly National Information Meeting . All who agree that the People of the Republic of Texas should hold such a national Convention of Delegates at this time are invited to join us there and be heard. If your district has not chosen delegates for our previous convention, you would do well to confer with other Republic Citizens in your district, in order to elect three(3) delegates and one (1) or two (2) alternates to represent you at the convention. A MINIMUM of sixteen (16) of the thirty districts [SEE MAP] must be represented in order to conduct a proper convention, that can represent the People of the Republic Texas and their interests.

Today we mourn the passing of another one of our fellow citizens and supporters. R. Herbert J. Gilnair (73), late of Whitney, Texas, was a strong friend and supporter of our cause for freedom and justice.  He was a Justice of the Rabbinic Court which has formally accepted our lawsuit to establish that Texas is still lawfully an independent republic in its own right.  He, of course recused himself from the case because of being a declared Citizen of the Republic and therefore could be considered biased in favor of our case against the STATE. Rabbi Gilnair died while in the hospital in Waco, of a massive coronary and heart failure.  His remains were interred on Monday in the cemetery on 12th street in Waco. He will long be remembered by those of us who knew and appreciated him.

Here's a preliminary report about our recent National Meeting in Arlington:

On Friday evening (5-10-02), after Council Chairman John Hunter opened the meeting and gave the usual announcements, he proceeded to tender his resignation, and immediately read the resignation of the Secretary to the Council as well as that of the President!! All three of them listed their reasons as "personal." Of course, the rest of us were stunned by this turn of events. The remainder of the Council carried on with the meeting, and fielded questions from the floor. They informed us that the question of the resignations would be considered at the next regular business session (in Temple).

The next morning, Secty. of Privatization Ed Brannum opened a short business session of the Council and entertained a motion to appoint a President pro tem. The Council approved unanimously the appointment of Secty. of State Daniel Lopez to the post. Then, after giving a short speech, the newly appointed President pro tem proceeded to moderate the rest of the national meeting. Despite the initial shock, the meeting was well attended and the short seminar offered on Saturday afternoon by Kenneth Townsend was enjoyed by all present.

Expectations are high with the prospects of renewed efforts to move forward, united in the cause of freedom and justice in our land.   Please make every effort to be with us at the next national meeting, to be held in Temple.  Details will be posted soon.

A new independent action group has been formed just recently, called the "Truth in Texas Committee."  This Committee is conducting a survey among the People of Texas.  YOU can either participate in the survey, or join the TTC, by downloading the Questionnaire , and helping the folks in your community to fill it out - OR BOTH!  If you decide you want to help conduct this survey, please contact the Committee at: ttcsurvey@yahoo.com .  They will be glad to print and issue you a name tag and give you more information about how their survey is being done.
