Well, folks, we've come to the end of a very exciting, productive, amazing, unsettling, difficult, dangerous and glorious year. The days and months ahead promise to be even more so. With the help of the Holy One (Blessed be He), we shall move ahead, closer and closer to the goal of victory for Freedom and Justice. With hat in hand and arms outstretched, I say to my compatriots: "Thank You one and all for your courage and dedication in the cause of Truth on behalf of the Republic; and I wish you all the very best in the year to come!"
ATTENTION: I'm making a change in the title for this webpage, for the new year, partly because I'm not satisfied with the one it has now, and partly due to the confusion of recent events. I'd like us to put all that behind us now, and start the new year with a fresh outlook and a fresh name for the webpage. Of course, the "location" or "URL" would still be the same (http://web2.airmail.net/dabeni/)[Old location. This has changed to: http://texasrepublic.com]. The new title is: [Also changed]

Congratulations, fellow sovereigns, the RT is "batting a thousand!" Yesterday's last resolution of the day scored a new record in number of consecutive UNANIMOUSLY voted actions taken by the General Council of the Provisional Government!! The score now stands at fourteen (14) motions and resolutions passed, with all attending officers voting in favor of, none against and no abstentions, by the "new" General Council. This new record does NOT include
motions to adjourn (in case you wondered).
If you're not sure why this is such a "big deal," I'll just remind you that before the People's Convention of Delegates elected to remove the "rogue element" from the General Council, several meetings were held in which NO action was taken and NO business was
conducted, due to the dictatorial policies of that "element"
who were pretty much running the "show." It's SO refreshing
(not to mention exciting) to be part of a government that is truly
"of the people, for the people and by the people!"
Presently, I'll be posting more information about the meeting, as I receive and process the text. Also the minutes of the Austin Meeting should be appearing anytime now. A number of radio and TV interviews have been conducted in the recent days with President David Johnson and Vice-President Jesse Enloe making excellent appearances on behalf of the People. I'm now compiling the information on those interviews for your reading pleasure. Both Council Members, as well as others, are getting a ton of calls from the media, now, as well as from other folks all over the nation (RT). I myself was interviewed by KESS radio in Dallas, on Thursday. Obviously, interest in the RT is growing, because of and in spite of the media's understandable confusion of recent events.
The complete Nacogdoches General Council meeting information has been
posted to the "Meeting Schedule" section. See you there!
An interesting article concerning the RT and "militia groups"
was published in the Dallas Morning News on Sunday 15 December. I am in
the process of making it available to any citizen interested in it. It
must be something they were preparing for some time, though, because it
mentions interviews with some of the FORMER Council members, especially
Ralph Turner.
Citizens of the Milam District met last Saturday 14 December, to discuss
the latest developments in the RT, as well as to elect new officers for
the Milam District Court of Common Pleas. You can see a "reprint"
of the action taken at that meeting under "Meeting Summary."
I've also posted a response by Secretary of Science and Technologies Jeffrey
Katz, in the "Responses" area. As everything else on this site,
it's worth reading.
The General Council Meeting in Nacogdoches, at the Fredonia Hotel, is still
a "GO" for Saturday, December 28. More details as soon as they're
available. Spread the word!

Hit the flashing "Responses" in the "Contents" window,
to read an open letter to Archie Lowe from David Johnson, current (lawfully
elected) President of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Texas.
It will help answer many of your questions concerning recent events in
the republic.

Take another look. The "Alert - Warning" section has the latest offering under INTERNATIONAL NOTICE. It's the letter of disclaimer that was just sent out to the U.N. and to the Austin de facto government. Also, if you haven't seen it, check out the section on "Daniel's Stuff." There's yet another new section, called "Editorials" (try it, you'll like it!). I'm still waiting for the report on the last meeting in Austin. You'll have it as soon as I get it.
The minutes of the 11/30/96 General Council Meeting are now posted under "Meeting Summary" (in the Contents Window). Also, take a look at "Remember This?," and "Responses," for some interesting reading.
A very successful General Council meeting was held yesterday in Austin, as scheduled. 10 out of 12 voting council members were present, as well as both non-voting members. 125 - 150 citizens from all over the nation also attended the meeting, which is remarkable, given the fact that some were misinformed by the so-called "ROT Info. line", as well as through other means, including the former Secretary of State's webpage.
All of the people in attendance, made positive comments about the results. We're on a roll, folks! Soon, I'll be posting a proper summary of this key meeting, as well as the minutes and other documents.

Summary description of B/CS meeting has finally been posted, as promised (under Meeting Summary). A small unauthorized (and unlawful) faction is busy trying to undermine the Will of the Sovereign People of the Republic of Texas by attempting to cancel our meeting in Austin. Citizens are urged to ignore these actions, and to help spread the word that the People of Texas have made their will known at College Station.
PLANS AND POWERS REVISED AND NEW OFFICERS ELECTED!!
Forty-one delegates, from 18 different R.T. land districts, elected today to revise the Plans and Powers for the Republic of Texas and later elected four new members of the General Council: President, Vice-President, Consul General, and Secretary of Judicial Affairs. Other officers of the Republic were appointed by the new General Council: Secretary of State, Commander of Defense Forces, and Secretary of the Council.
Later this evening, the Convention of Delegates appointed twelve of their number to form the first Oversite Commitee as a means of "checks and balances" in the government of the People.
A full copy of the Revised Plans and Powers of the Provisional Government has been posted to this site, for the benefit of all the citizens of Texas. (Look for it in the "Contents" window.)
